About the Project

EduShelf is an all-in-one digital platform built to help educators plan lessons, manage weekly timetables, and share teaching resources in one centralized workspace.
Teachers often spend valuable time manually organizing class schedules, preparing lesson plans, and searching through fragmented channels for useful teaching materials.
EduShelf brings these tasks together into a single platform where educators can:
• Create structured lesson plans - organize objectives, materials, procedures, activities, and homework.
• Manage weekly timetables - easily organize daily classes, subjects, and time slots.
• Share & discover resources - upload and explore teaching materials such as worksheets, exam reviews, and lab manuals.
• Preview resources instantly - view PDF materials directly without downloading them first.
• Manage ownership securely - creators have control over their own uploaded resources, with files securely stored in the cloud.

Title: StudAI – AI-Powered Academic Learning Platform

University students often struggle with scattered study materials, past exams, and multiple tabs (platforms) for studying and managing academic activities. Generic AI tools also lack context about students’ specific courses and learning materials.

StudAI is an all-in-one AI-powered learning platform that brings academic resources and study tools into one place. Students can upload course materials and use AI to generate summaries, flashcards, practice questions, explanations, notes, and context-aware conversations based on their materials. The platform also supports academic scheduling and study planning.

StudAI includes a structured past-exam management and practice system, where administrators organize exams by university, department, curriculum, year, semester, and course. AI extracts questions from uploaded exams, which administrators verify before making them available for student practice.

Overall, StudAI makes university learning more organized, contextual, and efficient by combining AI-powered studying, academic resources, note-taking, scheduling, and exam preparation in a single platform.
For now, StudAI is being developed for AASTU’s Software Engineering Department. It is an ongoing project and is not yet finished or deployed. Expansion to other departments and universities is planned soon.

Title: Qorma — Learn. Practice. Improve. Together.
Project Description — MVP Solution
Qorma is a collaborative EdTech platform built to make exam preparation more accessible, effective, and engaging for Ethiopian students.
Students preparing for the Ethiopian University Entrance Examination (EUEE) often rely on scattered PDF past papers, limited feedback, and separate chat groups to study. Qorma brings these experiences together in one platform.
With Qorma, students can browse real past EUEE exams, practice questions interactively, receive immediate feedback and explanations, review their mistakes, bookmark difficult questions, and track their accuracy, progress, and study streak.
What makes Qorma different is its Study Groups. Students preparing for the same exams can create or join groups, discuss difficult questions, attach actual Qorma questions to discussions, and participate in group challenges and leaderboards. This turns exam preparation from a purely individual experience into a collaborative learning environment.
The MVP focuses on one simple learning loop:
Find a real exam → Practice → Understand mistakes → Track progress → Learn together → Improve.

Project Description:
EthioInternLink is an internship infrastructure designed to connect Ethiopian students, universities, and companies in one platform.
Many students struggle to find internships that match their skills and often have to manually search across different platforms, company pages, and communities. They may also not know which companies are relevant to their technical skills, especially when looking for opportunities in cities such as Addis Ababa. Companies, on the other hand, can receive many applications and spend significant time manually identifying suitable candidates, while universities still manage many internship processes manually.

EthioInternLink provides a centralized platform for internship discovery and management. Students can create profiles, upload their CVs, discover relevant companies and opportunities, and use AI-assisted matching to see how well an internship matches their skills and why. The platform also includes company aggregation and discovery, helping students find companies relevant to their technical background.
Companies can post internships and manage applicants with AI-assisted candidate matching, while universities can manage students, internship placements, attendance, reports, and progress through the platform.
The MVP demonstrates how internship discovery, AI-assisted matching, and internship management can be brought together into one connected system.

Project Description:
Socratic Mentor is a simple AI chatbot that helps students learn by asking guiding questions instead of giving direct answers.

Many students use AI to get answers without understanding the material. Socratic Mentor fixes this by guiding them step by step until they figure it out themselves—building real understanding.

It also has a hint system for when students get stuck, and celebrates with confetti when they solve problems on their own.

The MVP demonstrates how AI can be used not just to provide answers, but to create a genuine learning experience that fosters independent thinking.
