Why does someone elseβs good news sometimes make me feel terrible about myself when they literally did nothing wrong?....People buy new things, travel or hit milestones and somehow my brain makes it entirely about me......Their win isn't an attack on my life, but my insecurities love to weaponize other peoples joy as "proof" that I am somehow lacking or falling behind.....We blame social media for being toxic, but a screen can only highlight what is already hurting underneath.
βInstead of asking "why isn't it me?".....the real question should be βwhat unhealed part of me is feeling threatened right now?β.....Is it jealousy because I secretly desire what they have while pretending I don't?....Is seeing them celebrated just exposing my own craving to be seen?.....Someone else winning is not my failure and their light doesn't dim mine....Maybe instead of blaming the algorithm for showing highlights, we need to ask what unaddressed truth in ourselves is making us feel so small.

What if you could play a Begena without actually touching one?
I built a small web app that lets you play Begena using only the camera on your phone or computer.
The idea came to me after seeing people use cameras to create musical sounds with hand movements. I wanted to try making something similar with one of EOTC's instruments.
So I gave it a shot.
The app tracks the hand and detect finger movements. Each finger is mapped to a different Begena string, so by bending your fingers in front of the camera, just like you normally do, you can play the instrument in real time.
It uses MediaPipe for hand tracking, JavaScript for finger detection and Web Audio API to play the sounds. (I recorded each sound from my Begena)
Has 4 α αα΅s (α°ααα³ α΅ααΈααα΅α ααα α αα£α°α) all in D major for now.

How many of y'all have heard of Playwright or automated testing? It literally tells you the exact error, takes a screenshot of the failure, and even records a video of the entire test run. its actually cool.
