kids: draw us some flower pictures.

me: what flower pictures? (I had completely forgotten)

kids: the ones we give people to wish them Happy እንቁጣጣሽ.

me: oh, for that? okay, I'll draw them for you, but Only if you promise not to come ask me for holiday money 😭

kids: deal

Thank God, saved myself from handing out holiday money to them 😂

so honestly speaking if you crack one idea that can work locally i bet you will find some other that will work for the abroad.

we usually got attract by US startup environment and we try harder to crack or to find one solution to a problem that were never existed. and we got attracted by the number people are posting.

So i really recommend you to start looking your own environment and find something that will work for the local market, i know it is hard that why it is not for everybody then you will meet a lot of people that will let you see more problem to be solved.

in my exprience i have seen many problem that needs to be solved in ethiopia for ethiopian market, but there are few people solving them. ofc if i tell you the problem to solve it will kill your creativity and the problem i see even might not aligned with your interest but if you really tackle the hardship you see the local market you definetely will know what to solve for the international market as well.

Also i really want you to try to involve and engage in networking event, it is something we can use to scale up our game.

Over the past two weeks, one huge area where i struggled and changed my perspective is asking someone seniors for help and guidance. It was never out of pride or thinking I knew everything. instead I hesitated because i was afraid of being a burden or bothering them while they were busy. so, I’d try to guess my way through and just try to code, which only led to redoing simple tasks over and over and wasting time.
I’ve now realized I was wrong In reality, it’s the exact opposite in the are of software development senior dev actually want you to ask questions, and most of them are more than happy to help. so Instead of trying to guess your way and spending hours redoing it, just ask someone who knows before diving in. It saves everyone so much time and effort.

alright, we're back first, a huge appreciation for all of you here. It's almost been a month since i graduated, and got busy with some stuff and wasn't active here. things have moved at a speed I didn't expect but now we're all good (long story short) I am always grateful for God's grace in all things that have happened. we'll be talking a lot about things along the way, and this is my voice. 😊

I left gibi yesterday, closing that chapter with all its good and bad memories. the funny and terrifying part is that i never expected this new chapter to hit so fast suddenly, worrying about bet kiray, megib wech, and transport wechi.
