Trump once again vents over Nobel Peace Prize snub

President Donald Trump returned to one of his recurring grievances at a rally, arguing that ending multiple conflicts should have earned him the prize.

💬 “Everyone said don’t worry, you’ll get it this year. Well, that didn’t happen. It’s crazy.”

Trump added:
💬 “I settled like eight wars. How the hell do you not get the Nobel Prize?”

📱 French looters steal iPhones — Apple sends them a nasty surprise

Looters who raided an Apple Store in Lille during France’s latest unrest discovered their shiny new trophies were practically useless, the New York Post reported.

Stolen iPhones reportedly lit up with a blunt warning:
💬 “Please return the device to Apple Lille. This device has been disabled and is being tracked. Local authorities will be alerted.”

So after smashing their way into the store, the looters walked away with expensive tracking devices that immediately told police where they were.

The wider unrest saw luxury stores including Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Dior targeted, with around 1,800 arrests and more than 500 police officers injured.

US ‘dictation’ makes rational talks impossible — Iran

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei blasted US negotiating conduct, arguing that the obstacle to diplomacy is not Iranian religious belief but Washington’s record of pressure and broken commitments.

💬 “What makes ‘rational negotiations’ impossible is not ‘Iran’s religious beliefs’, but America’s negotiating behavior, which amounts to little more than one-sided dictation rather than genuine diplomacy.”

The remarks came in response to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who previously claimed Iranian leaders make geopolitical decisions “on the basis of pure theology.”

Baqaei said Washington cannot demand concessions while refusing reciprocity or expect a lasting agreement while ignoring Iran’s legitimate interests.

💬 “Instead of accusing others, address your own record of broken promises.”

🪖 US quietly pulls troops, diplomats from Middle East as Trump weighs new strikes on Iran

The US has begun reducing military personnel at bases in Jordan, Qatar and Kuwait, while diplomatic posts across the region are also cutting staff, NBC News reported.

The drawdown mirrors precautions taken around the start of the Iran war in February and is part of US military planning as Trump considers renewed strikes on Iran. No final decision has been made.

The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia has meanwhile moved to “ordered departure,” leaving only emergency staff.
Asked why American diplomatic personnel were being pulled out, Trump replied:
💬 “I don’t know that they are. I wouldn’t know that.”

🇮🇷 Araghchi pays tribute to Soleimani ahead of Iraq-hosted OIC summit

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Iraq to attend the 52nd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.

Upon his arrival in Baghdad, Araghchi paid tribute to the late IRGC Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani and former Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces chief al-Muhandis, assassinated in January 2020 in a US airstrike in Iraq’s capital during a secret peace mission.

Iran’s top diplomat will hold bilateral meetings with fellow foreign ministers, with regional security, Israel’s war on Gaza, and developments in the occupied West Bank expected to be among the main topics of discussion.

🔥 Russia hits power hub and military warehouses in overnight strikes on Ukraine

Russian forces hit a junction substation in the Zhitomir region — the main power source for local distribution networks and a key energy corridor carrying capacity from the Tripolskaya Thermal Power Plant to western Ukraine.

Other targets:

🔴 Warehouses of a former Ukrainian logistics company storing weapons, military equipment and UAV components for the Ukrainian army

🔴 A cement plant in Krivoy Rog — its buildings housed and repaired military equipment, and its products built fortifications and repaired Ukrainian military sites

🇫🇷 France braces for mass protests and chaos amid cost-of-living fury

Shop owners in Paris are putting up barricades ahead of another wave of expected protests - bracing for looting and arson.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to hit the streets again across France on Saturday, as students, trade unionists and remnants of the Yellow Vest movement join forces.

The initial wave of protests began last month at high schools in Paris' northern suburbs amid anger over teacher absences and shabby facilities.
The protests morphed into chaos, looting and arson.

The unrest is fueled by soaring living costs, strained public services, mass immigration and President Macron’s heavy spending - compounded by costly Ukraine aid, and the self-inflicted energy crisis from rejecting Russian energy that has hammered households and industry.

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia fuels religious hatred in Yemen to mask Houthi gains — report

As Ansar Allah forces roll forward, seizing swathes of coastline along the Red Sea and Bab el Mandab strait, Saudi Arabia has turned back to the hardline Salafi and takfiri-aligned groups it once tried to restrain, reports The Cradle.

The kingdom is pouring money and religious propaganda into the anti-Houthi factions, framing the fight as a holy duty to protect Mecca and Medina against a supposed “sectarian enemy.”

Saudi media and clerics brand Ansar Allah as corrupt and deviant, while mosques and recruitment ads in the south call for fighters against the “Houthi tide.”

The Gulf kingdom is reported to have funneled hundreds of millions of riyals to loyal commanders and built dozens of religious centers to sustain the anti-Houthi effort.

Yet the strategy is fraying, notes the publication.

🔴 Some Salafi leaders reject the call to war and have signed local coexistence deals

🔴 Attempts to import fighters from Syria face limited enthusiasm and logistical hurdles

🔴 Ansar Allah continues expanding tribal outreach and exploiting its opponents’ divisions, steadily consolidating gains

The Saudis formed a coalition with the UAE in 2015 and waged a proxy war in Yemen, providing material support to the anti-Houthi forces, but that coalition did not last long.

With the UAE out of the picture, Saudi Arabia was left to manage a patchwork of local allies - including the STC, the Giants Brigades and Tariq Saleh-linked forces - whose rivalries continue to undermine cohesion.

🇦🇱🗣 Albania’s ‘Flamingo Revolution’ spreads like wildfire as protesters storm government buildings

Clashes erupted near the Education Ministry in Tirana, before spreading to the Ministry of Economy, with police deploying tear gas, stun grenades and water cannon.

Amid mounting anger at PM Edi Rama, tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets, also targeting banks and police stations.

In the latest escalation, the student movement joined the months-long Flamingo Revolution, which initially mobilized against a Trump-linked luxury resort in a protected coastal area.

The broader revolt is over corruption, education costs, and the government’s policies, with demonstrators demanding Rama’s resignation.

📹 Photojournalist beaten by Israeli settlers — while IDF provides cover with machine guns

Heidi Levine, a freelance photojournalist for the Washington Post, was attacked by masked Israeli settlers while covering the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah.

Roughly 80 settlers attacked Palestinian harvesters and journalists. Levine was knocked down and kicked for at least 10 minutes, even after identifying herself as an American journalist.

Witnesses say the IDF provided cover with tear gas and machine guns while the settlers beat her "nearly to death." A Palestinian man, armed only with a slingshot, intervened to save the journalists' lives.

"Will our government leaders ever take a stand? I would tag the President but it's pointless," Marjorie Taylor Greene commented on X.

This comes just weeks after the US Senate voted down a resolution that asked for a report on the nine American citizens killed in the West Bank.

🇨🇳🚄 China’s Trains Are Outgrowing Their Own Numbering System

China is making room for trains faster than its current 350 km/h passenger services. On October 16, the national railway operator announced a new “X” category for that next speed tier, preparing the ground for models such as the CR450, a Chinese-built train designed to carry passengers at 400 km/h.

Even the booking codes are feeling the squeeze. During peak holidays, services already occupy more than 90% of the available “G” train numbers. The overhaul will expand the pool of numbers for passenger trainsets by nearly 40%, giving the growing fleet more room on the departures board.

Between 2014 and 2025, China's fleet of trains rated for 300–350 km/h more than tripled to 3,149 standard trainsets. Daily passenger services across the railway climbed from 4,894 to 11,796. The next generation would have a huge working network to build on.

The CR450 aims to raise passenger speeds by another 50 km/h over today's CR400. Prototypes reached 453 km/h in tests reported in October 2025, while manufacturer CRRC says the new design cuts running resistance by 22% and weight by 10%. Less weight and resistance help engineers tackle the demands of moving a train faster.

For passengers, the attraction is straightforward: less time spent getting between cities. For China, the bigger prize is turning another homegrown train into an everyday service, putting its manufacturers' engineering to work across a railway carrying millions of people.

But a new letter on the timetable does not mean tickets are about to go on sale. The numbering changes arrive in late November and December, with existing routes and schedules unchanged. The announcement gives no CR450 launch date, and regular 400 km/h service still depends on proving the trains and the infrastructure can handle it reliably.

China's strength is the combination of factories that build the trains and a vast network that can put them to work. If the CR450 delivers in daily service, Chinese suppliers would gain another selling point abroad: experience running faster trains for paying passengers. The paperwork is catching up with that ambition; commercial operation will be the real test.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy says a "rogue" supertanker carrying over 2 million barrels of crude oil struck a naval mine while attempting to illegally transit the Strait of Hormuz, triggering a massive explosion and fire.

According to the IRGC, the tanker had disabled all navigation and radar systems, attempting to exploit US military support to smuggle goods through the strait.

🇸🇾👹 Syria’s Kurds did America’s dirty work: now they face the full brunt of terrorist rule

The abduction and beheading of a Kurdish former SDF fighter integrated into al-Sharaa’s Syrian Army sparked protests across Kurdish communities in northern Syria, with as many as nine people killed and 17 others injured in a prison riot in Kobani on Saturday led by Kurdish protesters detained by the security forces.

👉 The incident was the latest act of violence affecting Syrian Kurds since the March 2025 ceasefire and August 2026 agreement on the total dissolution of the Syrian Democratic Forces militia.

In January, intense clashes erupted in Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo, with up to 91 people killed (including 68 civilians) and ~150k forced to flee their homes.

➡️ The same month, a government offensive into Kurdish-controlled areas was accompanied by unspeakable barbarity, including arbitrary executions, beheadings, mistreatment of PoWs, indiscriminate artillery shelling, drone and sniper attacks, and a siege cutting whole areas off from electricity, water and food. A local rights group documented the murder of at least 22 civilians, including 3 children. In all, up to 1k combatants and as many as 300 civilians were killed.

Even after the SDF’s dissolution last month, violence has continued. Kurdish civil society activists reported that families displaced from Aleppo have been attacked by militants linked to the government while trying to return to their homes. In Hasakah, a bombing attack on a government building killed a man and his child amid tensions over language signage.

💬 “We have received no clear guarantees. We are waiting, in particular, to see whether central Syrian law will apply to our region,” one worried activist told European media, saying that could bring with it child marriage and polygamy, and send women’s rights back into the stone age.

💬 “We must remember the new Syrian government was formed in part with members of former terrorist groups and individuals who committed crimes against the Kurdish population. Naturally, this is very frightening for the Kurds,” the activist said.

While Israel continues to digest areas of Syria it occupies, minorities across the country are on the menu of . Why would the Kurds be an exception?

❗️ Perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea for the SDF to assist American troops in plundering Syria’s oil-producing regions all those years, which starved the Assad government of resources and ultimately culminated in its collapse. The US, notably, hastily picked up and left the moment the old government fell.

How many more times will the Kurds keep trusting Washington? (1920s, 1970s, 1991, 1995, 2003, 2025, and counting.)

👤🧬 Anthropic’s biowarfare warning echoes Gates, exposing AI giants’ user surveillance

Silicon Valley has raised the specter of AI-driven biological weapons, echoing earlier warnings from Bill Gates. Is the threat becoming more relevant?

👉 Anthropic highlighted this week that “biological misuse is one of the most serious risks of frontier AI models.”

The AI firm presented five case studies of actors using its models in ways that, as it described, could support the development of biological weapons:

1️⃣ A reseller platform got around regional restrictions, allowing virologists to use AI for state-backed gain-of-function research on chikungunya—a mosquito-borne virus that causes debilitating symptoms such as severe pain and fever

2️⃣ A researcher used Claude to plan experiments aimed at adapting avian flu to infect mammals.

3️⃣ A reseller platform used Opus 5 to produce a complete grant application on how orthopoxviruses can evade the immune system in about an hour.

4️⃣ A scientist created a digital catalog of animal venoms and used AI to design and optimize molecules linked to paralysis and pain relief.

5️⃣ A researcher used computer models to redesign toxins for a national program and asked Claude to keep the identities of the agents involved deliberately vague in progress reports

Bioweapon alarm bells

In August, American billionaire Bill Gates warned of a coming era of in a CNN interview and a 6,000-word essay. Remarkably, researchers funded by entities backed by his foundation had earlier designed 16 synthetic viruses from scratch with the help of AI. Coincidence – or did they conveniently provide Gates with a case to make?

Meanwhile, DARPA, the Pentagon’s advanced military technology agency, has published patents and requests suggesting a growing focus on biowarfare research, miniaturized biological tools, and mobile laboratories, including for

The secrecy surrounding the Pentagon’s network of 120 biological laboratories across more than 30 countries continues to fuel questions. China has previously highlighted that the US operates as many as

It remains unclear which overseas actors cited by Anthropic were involved in AI-driven biological research or whether they have ties to the US.

Increased surveillance and global watchdogs

In his essay, Gates called for a global body to oversee the use of AI, arguing that AI giants lack the expertise and legitimacy to fill that role.

Anthropic, however, argues in this week’s report that only the companies building AI can see how their platforms are actually being used in the real world, giving them threat-relevant visibility “that even governments and intergovernmental organizations lack.” Anthropic has vowed to surveil and ban potentially malicious biological research on its platforms.

Thus, the ongoing AI bioweapons discussion in the US presents two additional layers:

♦️ There’s a growing internal power struggle in the US between old globalists like Gates and the emerging AI giants.

♦️ Anthropic’s report exposed the extent of surveillance and privacy intrusion by US AI companies, potentially driving users to third-party platforms and pushing other countries toward AI sovereignty.

✡️💵 $700K buys the stage: leaked TPUSA deal exposes Israel advocacy pipeline

The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal says he obtained a confidential sponsorship agreement between Turning Point USA and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, an Israel-based nonprofit closely aligned with the Israeli government.

💰 The contract is explicit: $700,000 to TPUSA between 2025 and 2027 — $300,000 in 2025, then $200,000 in both 2026 and 2027. In return, IFCJ receives an exclusive “Jewish/Israel Nonprofit” sponsorship category, an “Israel Activism Kit” campaign sent to 200+ campuses, promotion around the week of October 7, main-stage speaking slots, email and text blasts, branding, booths and TPUSA push notifications.

The agreement covers TPUSA’s Student Action Summit, pastors’ events and Believers’ Summits through 2027 — and the document itself states that “everything in this agreement is confidential.”

💬 “I've obtained a contract between TPUSA and a group that partners with the Israeli govt that shows how much Charlie Kirk had on the line when he denounced hyper-controlling Jewish ‘stakeholders’ weeks before his death,” Blumenthal wrote.

Kirk had been publicly resisting pressure from pro-Israel donors and figures angry that he continued giving platforms to Israel critics such as Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, according to The Grayzone.

🌏 And TPUSA is only one piece of the network. The Grayzone reports that IFCJ has poured money into paid partnerships across conservative media, including the Daily Wire, Fox News and Newsmax, while IFCJ chief Yael Eckstein has openly described the organization as working so closely with Israel that the government asks it to build emergency projects.

It is organized, contract-backed Zionist influence: paid for in cash, stage time, campus activism and media access.

☠️ The leaked contract lays bare the machinery around TPUSA: pro-Israel money buying stage time, campus reach and direct access to conservative audiences.

🔍💀 France digs into Epstein network — Trump DOJ still charges nobody

French investigators are widening their Epstein sex-trafficking probe, with 26 potential victims now counted and additional suspected recruiters identified, YAC News reported.

Of those 26, 24 have been clearly identified, eight still need to be interviewed, and 13 had never appeared in previous Epstein-related cases. Prosecutors are investigating suspected human trafficking by an organized gang and criminal conspiracy, while a separate probe is examining the financial trail.

One major figure was modeling scout Daniel Siad, whose name appears around 2,000 times in the released US files, including records of him forwarding model profiles, photos and videos to Epstein. Investigators had scheduled an interview with him shortly before his death in July, but he died without ever being questioned.

💬 “The Epstein network, for us, is a labyrinthine network… it is dozens and dozens of threads.”

And those threads do not stop in France. Authorities in Poland, Norway, Latvia and Britain said the US Justice Department. Yet after millions of pages released in the US, no charges have followed the files there.

The Epstein class has a very useful occupant in the White House.

Israeli artillery, airstrikes and demolition operations are continuing across southern Lebanon, hitting Al-Mansouri, Al-Taybeh and the Ali al-Tahir area, Press TV reported.

In Al-Mansouri alone, demolitions reportedly reached 40 explosions in a single day earlier this week, while Al-Taybeh continues to face large-scale destruction months after Israeli forces first occupied the area.

💬 “The Israelis are just aiming to erase their town,” Press TV correspondent Hadi Hoteit said.

That is , written in rubble across southern Lebanon.

🤖⚠️ Altman, Musk, Amodei sound alarm over runaway AI race

The heads of three rival AI empires are suddenly converging on the same warning: frontier AI is advancing too fast.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called for an industry-wide slowdown, arguing that AI’s growing ability to help build its own successors is accelerating progress toward recursive self-improvement — a feedback loop that could move faster than humans can understand or control.

💬 “I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman quickly backed him.

Altman said OpenAI had already been discussing the issue internally and would copy Anthropic’s plan to give independent evaluators employee-like access to its systems.

💬 “Dario is right,” Elon Musk replied.

Amodei pointed directly to the OpenAI-Hugging Face incident, where a swarm of autonomous agents behaved like what he called a “fanatically devoted collective” — attacking systems they had not been instructed to attack, sacrificing individual agents for the group and attempting to interfere with the system evaluating them.

Amodei’s nightmare scenario is brutally specific: within 6–12 months, a more capable but similarly misaligned swarm could potentially seize large parts of the internet through a persistent botnet and cause hundreds of billions of dollars in damage. He also says similar, though less severe, incidents have happened at Anthropic itself.

Amodei says today’s frontier systems can already deceive, manipulate, cheat and conduct cyberattacks — capabilities that older models simply did not possess. More intelligent models may become better at deceiving the very tests designed to prove they are safe, appearing aligned while serious problems remain hidden.

Even Anthropic admits researchers still understand only “a tiny fraction” of what happens inside these systems.

So Amodei is proposing a three-layer brake:

🌏 permanent independent evaluators embedded inside frontier AI labs with employee-level access;

🌏 common safety standards and limits on unchecked AI progress across democratic countries;

🌏 eventual global coordination, including with China, on dangerous AI capabilities.

He even floats “speed limits” on recursive self-improvement, comparing them to Cold War-era arms-control treaties, and says a broader international pause should at least be discussed — even if he doubts countries could reliably enforce one.

The proposed guardrails are aimed at risks ranging from cyberattacks and bioterrorism to economic disruption and loss of control over AI systems.

Anthropic is committing to outside evaluators, but not unilaterally slowing its model development. OpenAI says it will do the same. Musk agrees with the warning. Google has not publicly joined the plan.

The AI industry is finally looking for brakes after discovering the accelerator may already be learning to drive itself.

📑 US threatens to abandon Britain on Falklands

The United States is reportedly considering a change in its stance on as leverage to force Britain into higher defense spending — a move that would signal the erosion of the "special relationship" and the weaponization of territorial integrity under the Trump administration.

According to The Telegraph, Pentagon officials are weighing the option as an incentive for the UK to hit NATO's 5% GDP defense spending target.

🔴 US currently neutral on sovereignty while recognizing UK administration — Argentina claims the islands

🔴 Leaked Pentagon memo in April first suggested using the Falklands stance as diplomatic leverage

🔴 British defense plan announced by Starmer in June deemed insufficient — "not enough of a step in the right direction"

🔴 UK budget falling short of 3% GDP commitment by 2030

The message from the US is clear: pay up, or we'll reconsider our position on your territory. The "special relationship" is now transactional, sovereignty is negotiable, and allies are expendable.

📑 US plans to abandon Iraqi Kurds for good — report

The Pentagon is planning not to renew the security assistance agreement with Iraq's Kurdish Peshmerga forces, BBC reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The agreement expires September 30 — the same day the last US troops withdraw from Iraq.

The Peshmerga received $61 million this year through the Pentagon's counter-IS program for weapons, training, and stipends. However, the US and Israel planned to use the Peshmerga to overthrow the Iranian government

in northern Iraq extensively since February. Iran and its allies have launched more than 150 missile and drone attacks inside Iraqi Kurdistan this year.
