Did Mohammed bin Zayed warn Netanyahu? UAE remains silent

The United Arab Emirates is maintaining complete silence regarding a report published Tuesday by Haaretz claiming that UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed directly warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just days before Oct. 7.

In a statement translated from Arabic, the UAE Foreign Ministry said: “The UAE does not comment on media stories or speculation regarding conversations between leaders. Government entities of the United Arab Emirates and Israel have maintained open and direct channels of communication since the establishment of relations more than five years ago. When required, all relevant intelligence was shared and continues to be shared between the relevant entities.”

Israel closes British Consulate in Jerusalem in response to UK sanctions

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced Tuesday that Israel will close the British Consulate in Jerusalem and impose additional countermeasures in response to new UK sanctions against Israel. The measures were approved in coordination with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel will also remove British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat and end a British program that trains Palestinian Authority forces in Judea and Samaria. In addition, Israel will deny entry to 12 British elected officials and other British nationals accused of antisemitic or anti-Israel activity.

“Unfortunately, a hostile Labour Government is in office, systematically acting against the State of Israel, and it has left us with no choice but to finally respond to its hostile actions,” Sa’ar said. He stressed that Israel has “nothing against the British people,” adding, “We know that we have many friends in Britain.”

Sa’ar accused the British government of imposing sanctions for domestic political reasons ahead of the Labour Party Conference.
“The British move is morally distorted and constitutes blatant interference in the affairs of a sovereign state and in its electoral process,” he said.

The German government asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday to reject a Nicaragua-initiated case accusing Berlin of violating the 1948 Genocide Convention by supplying arms to Israel.

“Germany is facilitating the commission of genocide and, in any case, has failed in its obligation to do everything possible to prevent the commission of genocide,” Nicaragua claimed without providing concrete evidence in its filing.

The separate genocide case against Israel is not expected to be heard on the merits until late 2029. Israeli officials have emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces has taken measures intended to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza, including issuing advance warnings and opening evacuation routes for civilians from active combat zones.

Charlotte Knobloch, the 93-year-old Holocaust survivor who leads the Jewish Community of Munich, warned that the election victory is “a sign that the foundations of democracy in Germany are no longer functioning.”

More than 20,000 Jewish people from more than 100 countries made aliyah (Jewish immigration) to Israel over the past Hebrew calendar year, with immigrants from Western countries accounting for a growing share of the newcomers, according to a new report released ahead of Rosh Hashanah by Israel’s Aliyah and Integration Ministry and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
In 2025, most new aliyah files continued to be opened by Jewish citizens of Western countries. Australia saw an 89.7% increase in files opened, while Britain saw a 68% increase. France recorded a 31.5% increase and the United States a 17.1% increase. Canada saw a 10.7% increase, while South Africa recorded a 14.3% increase.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received an explicit warning about a planned military operation by Hamas in Gaza from United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) over one week before the Oct. 7 attacks, according to a report in Haaretz.

In the 45-minute conversation, bin Zayed warned that Hamas’ Gaza leader, Yahya Sinwar, was planning a major attack against Israel, which would not only lead to bloodshed, but also shake the entire region, potentially harming the Abraham Accords.

“The report this morning stating that Netanyahu was warned ten days before the October 7 massacre about Sinwar's intentions - true,” Bennett wrote. “Netanyahu bears personal and direct responsibility for the failure that led to the deaths of thousands of Israelis on his watch,” Bennet added. “His ignoring of the warnings is criminal negligence, and therefore he is doing everything to prevent the establishment of a state commission of inquiry that will expose the truth.”

IDF kills two more Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel on Oct 7

The IDF said it struck two more Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the October 7 massacre in the Gaza Strip overnight.

The strike hit the terrorists "in the Deir al-Balah area in the central Gaza Strip. In the strike, Mohammad Abd al-Nasser Jabr Abu Asaad, a Nukba terrorist in Hamas' military wing who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the October 7th Massacre, was eliminated."

The Israeli military further noted that they "had been planning to advance terror attacks targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians and attempted to rehabilitate the terrorist organization, while systematically violating the ceasefire. The strike was conducted in order to remove the threat."

Shipwreck Altalena found off Tel Aviv - sunk in 1948 clash with right-wing militia

The wreckage of the ship Altalena, which was sunk on the orders of first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion in a clash between the nascent IDF and the right-wing militia Irgun, was found in overnight operations.

This was revealed in a rather unusual way, via a statement by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, who initiated the search expedition managed by Roni Sadeh, director of the Maritime Mapping Division at the Survey of Israel (SOI).

"Altalena arrived in Israel in June 1948 carrying immigrants, including Irgun fighters, as well as weapons and military equipment. The confrontation surrounding the vessel became one of the painful and formative events in the history of the young State of Israel. During it, 16 Irgun members and three IDF soldiers were killed," said Ben Gvir.

“We are closing tonight a historic circle surrounding one of the most painful and formative events in the history of Israeli society. We dealt with this matter secretly for many long years, and today—the fruits of the intelligence and operational effort have borne moving fruit for the sake of historical truth, the memory of the fallen, and the unity of the Jewish people.”

Roni Sadeh revealed that the wreck was found "at a depth of more than 500 meters thanks to advanced technologies and the intensive work of a professional and dedicated team at sea.”

IDF kills another Hamas commander who led terrorists in Oct 7 invasion

The IDF said it struck another commander of Hamas's special Nukhba forces, who led a platoon during the invasion and massacre in Israeli territory on October 7, 2023.

"The IDF struck a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas’ military wing in the Khan Yunis area in the southern Gaza Strip. The terrorist infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th Massacre," the military stated.

"Throughout the war, the terrorist advanced terror attacks against IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip."

"IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat," the IDF said.

A 24-year-old Israeli man was stabbed in an apparent terror attack in a Palestinian town in the Jordan Valley on Sunday morning.

The victim, an IDF soldier on vacation with his family, was attacked after stopping at a shop along Route 90 while his wife and children waited inside the car.

Following the report of the stabbing, IDF troops alongside Shin Bet forces cordoned off the area and launched a search to locate the suspect.

IDF aid delegation concludes a week of operations in Colombia after rescuing 27 trapped people

The Israel Defense Forces's aid delegation dubbed "Alliance of Brothers" concluded a week of activity in Colombia, during which it mainly assisted with search-and-rescue and recovery efforts in the city of Cali.

"Yesterday, the missions to locate and rescue trapped individuals at the three destruction sites where the delegation operated were completed. All 27 trapped individuals were located and rescued. As part of the assistance efforts, engineering surveys and assessments were conducted at approximately 100 public and residential buildings throughout the city, alongside training provided to local professionals," the IDF said.

"The delegation has achieved most of its objectives, and its mission in Colombia is nearing completion. At this time, the engineering team continues its work, while preparations are underway to transfer responsibility to the Colombian authorities and for the delegation’s return to Israel."
