🍃 Beware of reading horoscopes.

🌷 Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Āl al-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

"Whoever reads the horoscope section, knowing the zodiac sign under which he was born, and reads what it says, then it is as though he has consulted a fortune-teller. His prayer will not be accepted for forty days. And if he believes what those horoscopes say, then he has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muḥammad ﷺ."

📜 | Steadfastness Upon Righteousness

📂 | Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Ālush-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

"Remaining steadfast upon righteousness is something precious and difficult to attain, for the heart is ever-changing. A person—even if he is a scholar, a student of knowledge, or a righteous individual—is not safe from trials. Nor is he guaranteed against a change in his heart or his deeds. Therefore, he should avoid whatever may alter his religion or corrupt his actions."

📜 | Motivation and Aspiration

📂 | Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Ālush-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

"If every day you study the tafsīr (explanation) of just one verse, one hadith along with its explanation, and one fiqh issue—only these three things each day—

Then how much will you have accumulated in one year?

The tafsīr of 360 verses.

The explanation of 360 hadiths.

360 fiqh issues.

Then imagine after five years or ten years.

You will become a student of knowledge."

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Ālush-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

"The greatest means by which you strive against the enemies of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, and against Satan, is by spreading beneficial knowledge. So spread it wherever you can, according to your ability."

✍️ Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Ālush-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

A number of the scholars have said:

"It is not permissible for a person to say, 'I seek refuge in Allah, then in you,' because seeking refuge (istiʿādhah) is an act of worship of the heart. This is the correct view. When someone says, 'I seek refuge in Allah, then in you,' seeking refuge is a purely inward act of the heart. Therefore, it is not appropriate for it to be directed to anyone besides Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."

THE RIGHTS OF BROTHERHOOD

By Ṣāliḥ Ālush-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him)

1️⃣ The first right: To love your brother for the sake of Allah, not for any worldly interest.

2️⃣ The second right: To support your brother with your wealth and with your own efforts.

3️⃣ The third right: To safeguard your brother's honour. This includes:

Remaining silent about his faults.

Not probing him with excessive questioning.

Protecting his secrets.

4️⃣ The fourth right: To avoid harboring سوء الظن (negative suspicion) toward your brother.

5️⃣ The fifth right: To avoid arguments and disputation with your brothers. Arguments often stem from:

Refusing to yield to another's viewpoint.

The desire to prevail over others.

Failing to guard against the harms of the tongue.

6️⃣ The sixth right: To use your tongue in goodness toward your brother. This includes:

Not being stingy with kind and beneficial words.

Thanking him for the good he does.

Speaking well of him in his absence.

7️⃣ The seventh right: To pardon his mistakes and slips.

8️⃣ The eighth right: To rejoice in the blessings Allah, the Exalted, has bestowed upon him—whether wealth, knowledge, religious commitment, or righteousness.

9️⃣ The ninth right: That there be mutual cooperation between you and your brothers in righteousness and goodness.

🔟 The tenth right: That close companions in brotherhood consult one another and cultivate harmony and affection among themselves.

BENEFIT: A Valuable Deduction on the Issue of Udhr bi Al-Jahl

Shaykh Salih Aal Ash-Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) said:

"The Prophet ﷺ was sent to all people. He said:

'No one from this Ummah who hears about me—whether Jew or Christian—and then does not believe in me, except that Allah will admit him to the Fire.'

I heard Shaykh Muhammad Nasir ad-Din al-Albani explain this hadith in person. He said:

'The Prophet's words, "who hears about me," are similar to his statement: "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me."

The meaning of the hadith about dreams is that a person has truly seen the Prophet only if he sees him in the appearance in which Allah created him.

Likewise, the words "who hears about me" mean hearing about me as Allah sent me—that is, hearing the true message that I brought.

If what a person hears is a distorted or false version that does not accurately describe what the Prophet ﷺ actually brought, then this is like seeing the Prophet in a dream in a form other than his true appearance. Such a hearing is not enough for a person to truly know the truth.'"

Shaykh Salih then commented:

"As far as I can tell, this is a very valuable insight from the Shaykh."
