✅ PIB has highlighted the transformation of India’s agriculture and allied sectors, driven by higher production, farmer support, digitalisation, diversification and stronger market linkages.

📍 Agricultural Economy
✅ Agriculture & Allied GVA increased from ₹20.94 lakh crore (2014-15) to an estimated ₹52.08 lakh crore (2025-26).
✅ Agriculture provides livelihoods to approximately 46.1% of the workforce.
✅ Foodgrain production rose from 265.05 MT → 376.56 MT.
✅ Horticulture production rose from 280.70 MT → 377.78 MT.
✅ Oilseeds production increased from 27.51 MT → 43.06 MT.

📍 Farmer Support
✅ PM-KISAN: Over ₹4.47 lakh crore transferred through 23 instalments.
✅ PMFBY: Claims worth ₹1.96 lakh crore disbursed up to December 2025.

🧀 Analog Paneer – Exam-Oriented Points
Definition: Analog paneer is a paneer-like product/substitute manufactured using ingredients other than, or in addition to, conventional milk curd.
Main purpose: To provide a low-cost alternative to traditional paneer with similar appearance, texture and cooking properties.
Common ingredients:
Vegetable fat/oil
Milk solids or milk proteins
Plant proteins (e.g., soy/pea protein)
Starch
Emulsifiers
Stabilizers
Salt/flavouring, depending on formulation
Traditional paneer: Primarily produced by heat treatment of milk followed by acid coagulation of milk proteins.
Key difference: Traditional paneer is a milk-based dairy product, whereas analog paneer may contain non-milk ingredients such as vegetable fat, starch or plant proteins.
Advantages of analog paneer:
Lower production cost
Uniform texture
Better processing characteristics
Potentially longer storage stability
Nutritional composition: Varies considerably according to the formulation; therefore, it cannot automatically be considered nutritionally equivalent to paneer.
Food safety: Must comply with applicable FSSAI standards and labelling requirements when marketed in India.
Important exam point: Analog paneer ≠ adulterated paneer. It is a formulated alternative product; whether it can legally be sold as “paneer” depends on applicable food standards and labelling.
