Police have registered a cognizable, non-bailable case and arrested the accused. Bapat has also been provided round-the-clock security.

A 3-year-old boy was beaten, dragged by his ears, tied to a chair for nearly three hours and denied food at Makoons Kids Unplugged School in Maujpur, Delhi.

According to the FIR, Muslim teacher Simran captured in CCTV the child being assaulted, while another clip reportedly shows an allegation of inappropriate touching, which is being investigated under the POCSO Act.

The child's father said he noticed severe distress after the boy returned home vomiting, with swollen eyes and ears. An ENT examination reportedly found swelling in both eardrums.

The father also alleged that the school initially refused to provide CCTV footage and later demanded ₹1,500 for access to the recordings.

Police have booked the school's directors, principal, teacher and attendant under various provisions, including POCSO. The attendant has been arrested, while the role of the other accused is being investigated.

The Delhi government has also ordered action against the school, including its sealing.

A survivor of Nepal's devastating Bhotekoshi floods has alleged that a Chinese supervisor at the Trishuli-3A hydropower project fled the tunnel after workers sought his help to escape.

Worker Raj Chhetri claimed that when they sensed danger and asked to leave, the supervisor told them "i will go and see" before fleeing himself.

A day before the local body elections in Gujarat, a 22 years old, nephew of Mahendra Shankar Chaudhary, the BJP candidate for ward number 4 of Mehsana Municipal Corporation, was killed in a clash.

Salim Dola, the alleged mastermind behind the largest synthetic drug manufacturing and supply cartels operational in India, has been detained in Istanbul, Turkey.

He was detained in an operation by the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation, MIT and local police units based on a Red Corner Notice (RCN) issued by the Interpol.

The RCN was issued following a request from the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) as the alleged drug lord was wanted by the Mumbai police.
